The old fishing village of Stintino is one of most famous and exclusive tourist destinations of the island. The village, with quaint little houses, the New and Old Marinas, the Thursday market, still retains its relaxed atmosphere and is the ideal setting for a "get away from it all" holiday. Opposite Stintino lies the Natural Park of Asinara with untouched nature and wildlife and possibilities for trips and excursions. The beach La Pelosa is the "star" of all the beaches in Sardinia. The breathtaking beauty of the sea in this particular spot varying from light ultramarine blue through to cadmium green. The main characteristic of this coast, excluding the crystal clear and magnificently coloured sea, is that all the length of the coast has very shallow shorelines, some extend out to sea for some 50 metres before getting deeper than knee-high. Stintino is also the ideal place to practice all sorts of water sports, from wind surfing to jet skiing, from snorkelling to diving and fishing.
