The house is currently working as a holiday home and has bookings until the end of the summer and is always booked from May to September. The current owner organises tasting sessions with typical local products from his organic farm, such as wine, extra-virgin oil, and fruit produced by the family. The current owner also arranges therapeutical massages such as Shiatsu, Ku-Nye (Tibetan massage) and osteopathic treatments for guests and this service could also continue if required.
Location
The area of the Amiata is famous for its wonderful panoramas and gastronomy. Mount Amiata (1738 m) is a perfect destination all year round: if you like walking in the forest, riding on horseback or mountain biking, skiing, mushroom and chestnut picking, you will be able to enjoy all of them here and always be breathing the purest air.
There are four wonderful hot-springs in the area: Petriolo is 40 min. away, Bagno Vignoni in 30 min. away, San Filippo is 35 min. away, and the famous Saturnia is 45 min away.
The amazing Val d'Orcia has been classified "World Heritage Site" by the Unesco, and Pienza is only 40 km away, Montalcino, where the famous Brunello comes from, is only 28 km away. The Sant'Antimo abbey is within half an hour drive.
Siena is less than one hour away and Florence less than two hours away. The Etruscan sites of Sorano, Sovana and Pitigliano are less than one hour away and feature beautiful hikes in the countryside through spectacular ancient Etruscan settings.
