Location
Ostuni is an unmissable destination for anyone visiting Puglia, with its charming white-washed houses clinging to a hilltop.
Upon arriving in a summer evening, it seems that the people never sleep, all the small shops, lighting up the small alleys of the town centre, stay open until the morning. Walking around every corner it is possible to assist to a street artists attraction, such as dancing , singing or playing the guitar; somebody else will be inviting you to taste a speciality of the local cousine, and so on all night long and every night.
During the day it seems that the people has disappeared, in fact everybody go to the nearby coastal resorts to enjoy the turquoise, clean and crystal clear sea water.
It’s in the countryside neighbouring this delightful town, that you can find Trullo Sessana, a traditional trullo from Ostuni, sitting in the quietness of its own age-old olive grove.
This area lies between Brindisi (37km) and Fasano (21km), at 13 km from the coast and very close to some of the most important historical cities in Puglia: Locorotondo (22km), Martina Franca (22km) and Alberobello (31km).
Description of buildings
The property consists of a living room with fireplace, a kitchen, one study, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It is possible to add further space to the Trullo by erecting a residential annexe, and coming to an agreement upon the cost and procedure of the extension, so as to buy the property inclusive of the extra space.
Condition
The trullo, at present is in the process of being restored and it will be delivered completely finished and decorated but not furnished.
The structure of the building has been constructed using the traditional dry stone method with no use of mortar, and it will be restored maintaining the original materials and architecture. The price of 325.000 Euros is comprehensive of all restoration costs (excluding the possible building extension).
To have a realistic impression of how the property will appear, you can click above left on the next pictures, to view examples of other similar recently finished restorations, carried out from the owners of Trullo Sessana.
Outdoor space
The property sits in the typical Apulian countryside, between century-old olive trees and ancient dry-stone low walls. The trullo is surrounded by 12.765 sqm of private land with olive trees.
Usage and potential
Puglia is a region of Italy with rising property prices due to a recent building-up of interest from Italian and foreign tourists and investors, especially towards the small but charming rural houses called trulli. These offer the opportunity to produce excellent returns with a relatively small investment and be also ideal as a holiday home.
Trullo Sessana, as well as the others on our website, has been selected thanks to its enchanting and private location, proximity to the town of Ostuni and its preserved original structure. Because of its closeness to the Ionian and Adriatic unspoilt costal areas, this trullo would also be an ideal rental investment.
